Privacy Policy

Who we are

Kiri Research Labs ("we") builds kiri.ng and the apps we publish, including KTV Player. We are based in Enugu, Nigeria (CAC 9317920). This page explains what your information is used for, in plain words. We do not run accounts and we do not build profiles of our users.

The website

• The tools on kiri.ng run in your own browser. Files you drop into them are not sent to us.
• If you email [email protected], we receive your address and your message so we can reply.
• Google Analytics runs only if you accept the cookie banner. You can reject it and the site keeps working. We look at page views, browser type and region to decide what to fix.
• Donations are handled on Flutterwave's website. Your card details go from your browser to Flutterwave and never through our servers.

Kiri License (paid features)

Some apps offer a paid Kiri License that removes ads and unlocks extra content. When you buy one:

• Payments are processed by Flutterwave. We never see your card number.
• Our license service at license.kiri.ng (hosted on Cloudflare) stores your email address, a recovery ID, and whether your license is active. We use this to check your license and to restore it on a new device. If you lose your recovery ID, contact us with your purchase email and we can look it up.
• Your receipt email is sent by Brevo from [email protected].
• You can ask us to delete all of this at any time. See Data Deletion.

Our apps on your device

• Favorites, watch history, settings and your country choice are stored on your device only. There are no user accounts. Clearing the app's data removes them.
• The app reads a public version file on GitHub to tell you when an update exists.
• The app downloads the channel lists you enable (public lists from GitHub or iptv-org). When you play a channel, your device connects directly to that channel's server, which can see your IP address the same way any website you visit can.
• Free builds on phones show ads from Google AdMob. Google may use an advertising identifier for this. TV and desktop builds show no ads.

Who we share information with

Only the services that make things work:

• Cloudflare - hosts this website and the license service
• Flutterwave - processes payments and donations
• Brevo - sends receipt emails
• Google - Analytics on this site (if you accept), AdMob in the apps
• GitHub - source code, and the version file the apps read

We do not sell personal information to anyone.

How long we keep things

• License data: while your license is active, or until you ask us to delete it.
• Emails we receive: as long as we need to answer you.
• App data: on your device, until you clear it.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will do it. If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

Our services are meant for people aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

When something changes we update this page and the date at the top.
